French Multi-Zone High Temperature Red Alert

( Paris, 8th August 2020 ) The heat wave has swept across all regions of France. Nine provinces in France, including Paris, issued red warnings for high temperature for the first time this year. At present, 53 provinces have issued orange warnings. The French Meteorological Agency predicts that the high temperature will last at least until next week. .

According to reports, the French Meteorological Agency announced on Friday (7th) that the temperature in most areas of France exceeded 35 degrees Celsius that afternoon, 38.1 degrees Celsius in Paris, and 41.6 degrees Celsius in Barberzieux.

Nine provinces, including Paris and Haute-Seine, issued the "High Temperature Red Alert".

The French Meteorological Agency reminded that “under the influence of the current ozone pollution and the COVID-19 pandemic, there is still a high mortality risk.”
